Lead Generation Details on Android

Users can now view additional details for generated leads, including opening hours and contact information, in addition to the business name, type, and address. This gives them more context to help decide whether a place is worth visiting.

Lock the Route’s Last Appointment

Users can now lock the final appointment or stop in their route, ensuring it remains the last destination and is not changed during route optimization.

Numeric Filters on Mobile

Users can now apply filters to numeric fields, such as Annual Revenue (as an example), on mobile.

Email Verification

For added security, users are now asked to verify their email address the first time they log in. Existing users who haven’t verified their email yet will be prompted to do so the next time they sign in.

Advanced Filters

Users can now quickly locate their most relevant records by filtering map data on the Android app using custom picklist, datetime, and lookup fields.

Map Layers

The Android app now has Map Layers for enhanced map viewing. The available layers are Normal, Satellite, Terrain, Hybrid, and Traffic. Users can apply any of the first layers individually, or combine one of them with the Traffic layer for improved route planning.

Email Only Login

When logging in, users are now required to enter their email address instead of their username.

2025 November

Single Sign-On (SSO) and Auto-lockout

SSO is now available. Once configured, users can sign in quickly and securely using only their email address. In addition, if a user is locked out of their organization, their access to Badger will be automatically locked out as well.

Filters on Mobile

Users can now filter their data on Android. They just need to tap the Filters button on top, and choose which Record type they want to see on the map.

Map Screen in the Front on Mobile

Previously, the Android app’s main navigation menus were: Routes, Data, and Settings. Now, we’ve changed Routes to Map. When a user opens up Badger Maps, they’ll be directed right away to the Map Screen with all their data displayed instead of a list of saved routes.

View Full Record Information When Adding a Route Stop

In the past, if users needed to see a Record ’s full details before adding it as a route stop, they’d have to go to the Data menu to access its details from there. Now, users can access the full details just by clicking on the Record ’s pin and tapping on the Record name.

Export Route Stop to a Calendar

Users can now add their route stops to their calendar on Android.

Unified Record Search

Users can now search across all Record types in one go without needing to know exactly what kind of Record they’re looking for. All they need to do is to type the Record’s name (or any of their searchable fields) in the Search Field, and they’ll get relevant results immediately.

Route Screen UI Change

The Route Screen UI has improved. The top navigation now shows the route’s name along with the date and time. The Schedule view is still accessible, the user just has to click the menu button right beside the route’s name to access it.

Password Autofill

Android users can now use autofill for their Badger Maps passwords so they don’t have to remember it every time they log in.

Locate Me Button

Users can now see their live location using the Locate Me button.

Load More Data Button

Users are now able to see more data/pins using the Load More Data button. This lets them find out if they have data on an area other than what’s currently visible on their map.

Improved Lasso Tool on Mobile

When the Lasso tool was initially released, adding route stops using this adds all the selected stops, and the users have to remove the records they don’t need after the route was saved. Now, users are able to remove any Record that they don’t need from the selection before actually saving the route.

Lasso tool is now accessible on mobile apps, and users can now add multiple stops to their route using this feature.

Feature Guide Access on Mobile

Badger Maps’ Feature Guide is now accessible in the Android app. Users just need to go to Settings, and click Feature Guide to access it.

Contact Us Button

Before, users had to send their bug reports through the Feedback & Bug Report button in the mobile apps. Now, it’s changed to Contact Us, and the form that they have to fill out was also updated.

Password Reset

In the past, when users needed to reset their password using a mobile device, they’d have to open up their phone’s browser, go to https://go.badgermapping.com/, and click the Forgot Password button. Now, passwords can be updated right within the mobile app through the Reset Password button.

Improved Related Objects Navigation

Aside from viewing relationships between records from the Record’s Details page, the Related Object listed in the Details page is now clickable which gives users a smoother navigation and better workflow. As seen in the example below, the user is checking which Account this Contact is related to. From there, they can click on the Account’s name, and the app will open up the Account’s Details Page where the user can edit the details or add more Related Objects.

Add Related Objects While on Route

In Routes, when a user opens an appointment and clicks on Related, they are also sent to the Related tab. This allows them to document everything related to an appointment on the fly so their data is as complete as possible.

Related Tab in Record Details

In the past, the Record page just showed the Main Object’s corresponding Related Object (ex. Contacts, Task, Events). Now, it’s replaced with the Related tab which allows users to link multiple Related Objects to a single Main Object Record. This also lets them browse and search for related records, and preview and navigate between records through the Lookup Field.

Display Lookup Field – Editing a Record

Apart from viewing relationships between records from the Details page, users are now able to edit these relationships. As shown in the example below, the Contact was assigned to a different Account, this is what the user did to get that change reflected in his records.

Display Lookup Field – Creating a Record

Users are now able to establish relationships between records when creating a new Main Object Record. In the example below, we are creating a new Contact, and we can assign which Account this Contact will be related to.

Relationships between records can now be viewed from the Record’s Details page making it easier for the users to create other workflows like building a route with this information. As shown in the example below, this user can now view which Account this Contact is related to.

Android Dark Mode

The Android app now adapts to the user’s Display setting in their phones. If the user is in dark mode, they’ll see their app in darker colors.

New Schedule and Map Views

Users can now easily switch their route views because there are separate tabs for Schedule View and Map View.

Data Pins on Map View

Before, users could only see the data pins of their current route stops when in Map View. Now, we’re showing all data pins near a loaded route so it will be easier for them to add route stops when in Map View.

Rearranged Routing Buttons

The Optimize, Save, and Lead Generation buttons are now at the lower part of the screen for better visibility. Optimize and Save buttons are accessible on both Schedule and Map Views, while Lead Generation can only be seen on Map View.

Add Related Object on Routes Screen

Users can now add related objects or activity logs right within a route’s Schedule View or Map View Appointment Card.

Appointment Summary Cards on Map View

Users are now able to see summaries of their appointments while the route’s on Map View. Details such as the Record’s name, meeting time and length, and address will be shown when the user taps on the appointment’s pin.

Aside from being able to see their appointment’s summary, users can also access and edit their meetings from the Appointment Summary Card.

Appointment Data Type

Data type of each route stop can now be seen above the Record’s name just like how it’s shown on the web app.

Route Multi-select

Users can now select more than one Record or place at a time before adding it to a route.

Add Appointment Button

Users can now add appointments to their routes by clicking the + sign right above Map View. Doing this will add the stop at the end of the route.

Clustered Records

Records with the same address are now clustered together. Users will be able to tap and see a list of all records with that address, and add them their routes.

A new routing UI for mobile apps has been released. Routes can be optimized now in iOS and Android.

Records Without a Mapping Address

Mobile apps are now preventing routes from being created when a stop/Record doesn’t have a mapping address. Records are grayed out when they don’t have a mapping address.
