One of Badger Maps’ main features is creating optimized routes so you can save time. You can build routes on all devices, and we’ll walk you through how it’s done in this guide.

Web App #

1. First, you need to select your route stops, and there are a few ways to do this.

a. You can click on any pin on the map, and click the Add to route button at the lower right part of the screen.

b. You can also open up a Record page, then click the Add to route button on the Details tab. Note that this only works if the Record has a mapping address.

c. Another option is by going to Routes, then Current Route, and clicking the +Add first Location to route. From here, you can add stops from your Data or add a Quick Stop.

d. You can also select multiple stops at once using the Lasso or Radius tool. Just draw around a group of pins, and then click Create Route. You can check out our resources on Tools if you want to know more about this.

e. Lastly, you can also use the Lead Generation tool when adding route stops. You can check this article for more information.

2. This step is completely optional, but to keep the last stop fixed as your final destination during route optimization, hover over it and click the lock icon.

3. Assign a route name and date by clicking the pencil icon right below the +Add Location to Route button, then click Save. Note that this step is also optional.

4. Click Optimize to get the most efficient route, and then Save your route.

iPhone #

1. The first thing that you need to do is to choose your stops, and here are the different ways to do this.

a. Tap the Record pin of your desired first stop, then tap Create route. For subsequent stops, tap their Record pin and select Add to Route.

b. Alternatively, use the Lasso tool to select multiple route stops simultaneously by drawing around the desired pins. If needed, tap Lasso Selection to deselect unwanted stops before tapping Create a new route.

c. You can also use the Lead Generation tool to add stops. Tap a result, then tap More details to view the lead before adding it. Tap Create route, then select additional results and tap Add to Route. When you’re done, tap Close to return to the main screen.

2. Now if you need to keep the last stop as your route’s end destination, tap its pin, and then tap Lock as last.

3. Though not required, we encourage you to assign a Route name and Date.

4. Tap Optimize to get the best route to take, and tap Save to save your route.

Android #

1. First, you need to select your stops, and there are different ways to do this.

a. To choose your first stop, tap the desired Record pin, then tap Create route. For each subsequent stop, tap its Record pin, then tap Add to route.

b. To select multiple route stops simultaneously, tap the Lasso icon and draw a circle around the desired pins. Then, tap Show all to deselect any unwanted stops, and finally, tap Create route.

c. Finally, the Lead Generation tool lets you add stops to your route. Tap a result, then select More details if you want to review it before adding it. When you’re ready, tap Create Route to add it as your route’s first stop. To add more stops, tap additional results and select Add to route. When you’re finished, tap the back arrow to return to the main screen.

2. If you want to keep the last stop as your route’s final destination, tap its Record pin, then select Lock as last.

3. Although not required, we recommend that you assign a Route name and Date.

4. Tap Optimize to get the best route to take, and tap Save to save your route.
