Badger v3 Support

Glossary

First, let’s go over the common terms we use in Badger Maps. Across our support articles, we use a sample setup to explain Badger.

Keep in mind your setup might look different since everything is customizable.

Here’s the sample setup that we’ll use for this guide.

Sample Setup #

Across our knowledge base, we use a Sample Setup to showcase Badger’s features and functionalities. We use this Sample Setup to show ways you can completely customize your Badger setup.

This Sample Setup has 4 Main Objects; Leads, Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities.

Additionally, each Main Object has its corresponding Related Object(s). You can find an overview in the table below.

Main ObjectRelated Object
LeadsEvents
AccountsTasks, Accounts, Contacts, Events, Opportunities
ContactsTasks
OpportunitiesNotes

Note – Having a Related Object is optional and not mandatory.

Want to know more about what a Main Object or a Related Object is? Check out the next chapters below.

Data #

Your Data in Badger Maps is broken up into the following types:

Main Object
Related Object
Record
Field

Have a look at the following sections for a more detailed description of each.

Your Main Object(s) can be found in the left-hand menu under the Data section.

These are completely customizable. Just simply let us know which ones you would like to have, and we will get you set up for you.

Note – We don’t require an address for Main Objects. When a Main Object doesn’t have an address (i.e. Mapping Address) it will only be displayed in the list in Badger and not on the map.

For example – In our Sample Setup, the Main Objects are Leads, Accounts, and Opportunities. All three Main Objects can be found under the Data menu on the left side of the screen.

Each Main Object can have a different Related Object. You can manage the Related Object from the Record page.

Check out the next section below if you want to know more about records.

The screenshots below show the different Related Objects for each Main Object of our Sample Setup.

Records are the entries for each Main Object and Related Object. You can see them in a list form when you click on any Main Object. Each Record has a title and could have up to two subtitles.

Main Object: Leads
Record Title: Ellers Abram
Record Subtitle: Badger Maps

Fields are related information to your Main and Related Objects.

You’ll find them when you click on one of the records on the Details page.

We support the following Field types:

– Numeric
– Single-line Text
– Multi-line Text
– Single-select Picklist
– DateTime
– Address-Type

You can review this chapter for a more in-depth breakdown of the Field types.
